Kim Morrell is a new singing sensation whose electrifying vocals leap and glide across today’s hottest tracks. This Boston-born beauty is taking her audience for a ride on the wings of her voice to aural ecstasy. But make no mistake about it; Kim is no newcomer to the music scene. Kim belted her first melody at the tender age of 2, and has been going strong ever since.

As one of the newest artists to sign with Stellar/EMI, Kim's style, talent and wide-ranging musical sensibilities complement her new label's impressive roster of talent. Kim describes her personal style as pop with R&B undertones, yet her unconquerable musical spirit has her soaring to new heights and imbuing her compositions with Rock, Country, and hints of experimental. "I like strange sounding experimental ballads—anything that is either moving or makes people move and has clever lyrics," says Kim.

Having been strongly influenced by her musical family, it is no surprise that Kim's dynamic style and versatility have garnered the attention of record executives worldwide. "My whole family is musical…I got show tunes from my mother, orchestral music from my father, folk music from my sister, and jazz from my brother," says Kim.

Many people don't realize the extent to Kim's talent. As a true musical virtuoso, Kim is also a skillful recording engineer who writes, records, and mixes a lot of compositions in her own studio. Always driven…always focused…Kim has been strategic about her career from the moment she realized what she wanted to be when she grew up. "Instead of finding a recording studio, and praying for someone to discover me, I decided to learn how to do everything myself…and before I knew it, I was introducing myself to Taj Jackson, and ultimately I signed to Nextday Entertainment, his company with Jae Hill (the CEO and her now-manager)."

Kim's connection with Nextday Entertainment proved to be fortuitous—her new manager had a long-standing relationship with Stargate (Stellar Publishing), a production powerhouse that cranks out hits for some of today's most successful artists—including Rihanna, Ne-yo, Beyonce, and more. Kim's manager eventually introduced her to Guy Moot at EMI Publishing UK, and everything began to fall into place. The stars aligned, the world began to make sense, and Kim signed with Stellar/EMI.
