Back in 2003, the then 24-year old Karin Park – of Swedish origin, with a newly discovered home in Bergen, Norway – was a critically acclaimed talent; already with several radio hits under her belt, commemorated with an Alarm award for “best newcomer” that year, and the debut album’s title track “Superworldunknown” nominated by the magazine Spirit and radio station P3 as one of the best Norwegian songs of all time to boot.
Three years and well over 10.000 records later, the now 27-year old – still based in Bergen – is an experienced and grown up artist, with stronger, more varied and characteristic pop tunes. For over a year, Karin has primarily been focusing on the songwriting for the sophomore “Change Your Mind”, and been inspired by such distinctively different sources of music as a symphony orchestra, different rock bands and some hip hop/R&B artists.

”I am striving to be an artist who have the ability to make people think,” says Park. “And make them take a stand in terms of which direction our lives are taking, and why. What do we want? Who do we want to be? And what are the choices we make? The questions are all mine, but the answers are up to the listeners to determine.”
