I'd date its death with the Nightfall release: even though the storyplay was thicker than the of Factions, heroes were a nice yet badly implemented idea: too many of them to take care of + they ruined the cooperative basis, allowing players to many things all alone. I left the game for more than a year, but the news about GW2 (for which I have high expectations) made me install it again. It's still nice to play but the community is even worse than when I left: childish people will never grow up.
