We think there's no more Sense in tagging Artists Emo.

The new commercialized "Emo-Movement" has wrecked the real meaning of Emo as Emotional Hardcore....

I warmly welcome you here in the "Forget Emo"-group. No matter if you just want to actively help to find new definitions for wrecked emo or just support the idea of dropping the tag emo for music, we need you.

I created this group after a long time of watching fights about emo, fake emo, the "emo-kid"-movement, emotional hardcore and the comercial promotion of emo. Nobody knows how many thousands of hours mankind has wasted for these fights... so let's stop it and let's try to make it all more clear.
A pretty huge target for a little group on a middle-popular site like last.fm, don't you think?
I do, but I also think it's the best place to at least try this. Last.fm brings hundreds of thousands music lovers of very different tastes together and it's growing very fast.

Butnow, back to the target of this group and especially this forum:

- Killing the tag emo (just don't use it anymore! Wether on last.fm nor in your life)

- Finding new definitions for earlier wrongly and rightly as emo tagged music

- Ignoring the "emo-style", this group has nothing to do with boys or girls calling themselves "emo" = not our issue here

- Just Giving a Sign

- Sharing Opinions

more free to come.

Another important point:

This group won't just be "my" group, it needs you and everyone to build it up altogether.

    "Emo" is nothing more than a stupid term and a fad to me. Also, I feel that most of the bands on the current weekly top artists (at least the bands whored to oblivion at Hot Topic) are just there to sell the "emo" image instead of their music. If you like them, whatever's your taste, but still.
