"Unknown Pleasures". The sound and the words are better then "Closer"... In "closer" are showed all ian curtis' pains and thoughts, that have brought him to suicide, so it's so much intensive, but Unknown pleasures is always my favourite album.

The slower songs are the ones what define JD to me.

Closer. Just a beautiful album. So intense and real seeing as though Ian Curtis was pretty much close to the end at that point. That said though my favourite JD track of all time has to be New Dawn Fades, which just happens to be on Uknown Pleasures.

Closer is roughly 5% better than Unknown Pleasures, although both are masterpeices and the two greatest albums of all time =P

Both are great albums... I think it's hard to say because they show a different style without loosing the essence of Joy Division.

I vote for CLOSER, though. It's my fave one.

Both + Betwenn + Before (+ unreleased 4 made by N.O.).

I add most pieces with Will Heggie (Cocteau Twins, Dead Neighbours / Lowlife), some Fra Lippo Lippi, Siglo XX (Flowers for the Rebels), 1rst Modern English, some Section 25 & some rare trax more, cause 60 only don't fit.

Let's re"fresh" Cold Wave ! Let's make heavy rythmics new wave !

Trax I listen to most rarely : leaders of men, at a later date, dead souls, komakino & sounds of music, but it depends on the weather.
