We are the closed-minded! There are enough places for open-minded metalheads to gather already. This group stands for narrow-mindedness and intolerance.

Having diverse or eclectic musical taste and listening to every kind of music is dumb. Go ahead and just listen to metal constantly and don’t bother to expose yourself to anything else; you’re not missing much.

Listening to bands that get played on the radio or MTV doesn't mean that you’re cool or smart; it just means that you listen to music that sucks. Don’t expect anybody to be impressed.

If a band signs to a major label and changes their sound, they sold out.

Metal bands with short hair are mostly crap. All metal bands with emo haircuts are crap. If you see a picture of metal band that have dumb haircuts, you can go ahead and just assume that they’re crap without listening to their music.

Bands with murderers as members are usually better.

Tolerating and respecting differing points of view is also stupid.

I tried searching for "closedminded metalheads" group before starting my own (http://www.last.fm/group/Closedminded+metal+elitists) but due to founder's ineptitude in spelling I didn't find this until later.

Open-mindedness is overrated. Who cares if you listen to both metal and pop? It does not give you the right to be a smuglord about your taste or saying you're better than another person. Listening to both metal and pop is like putting ice cream on top of diarrhea. Its still shit.
