  While I'm waiting for Calla to produce a new album, I've been listening to an indie band out of Florida called "Kingsbury"... they seem heavily influenced by Calla, or just very similar in approach to sound scape. Check them out!

  The first time I saw Calla in preform NYC, I was blow-away. I saw them play on an old boat that had been drudged from the bottom of the Hudon River.What a venue! There was so much NYC scene shit to avoid. It seemed the 'place to be' that night. I loved the shown; I am so impressed. Even having know these guy for a long time, I did not know what to expect from them. I was pleasantly surprised and, at the time, enthralled by their prefrormance. "Calle" = "Be Quite/Silent". That's in the polite address. "Callate!" in the inperative = "shut up!" Considering the Spanish origin, that name should be pronounced "Kah-yea," and not as "Cal-la," as seems popular. I hope all i well for you guys. I am currently living in Mexico City.
