    A Ben Gibbard Lyric Game!

This may seem crazy, but I feel it might just bring together the people in this group!

    THE GAME:
To start a new lyric from the end of the previous lyric posted.

    RULES:
    1) "The end" refers to the last word, or letter in the lyric posted prior.
    2) The lyric must be associated with Sir B. Gibbard in some way. (A record he is featured on at some point can count I think).
    3) Don't make them too long/short, i.e. Long enough to know where it is from clearly, but short enough to not make us fall asleep reading it. A few lines will serve as plenty enough.
    4) Banter IS permitted!

    FINAL STATEMENT:
Please play the game with me... please? I have a lot of time!

    MY LYRIC:
"And here I rest: where disappointment and regret collide, lying awake at night."

  • both post end in 'S'. excellent.

    'Styrofoam plates, cafeteria tables,
charity reeks of cheap wine and pity and I'm thinking of you,
I do every year when we count all our blessings
and wonder what we're doing here.'

No more airplanes, or speed trains or free-ways... ain't no distance that could hold us back!

    K is a hard one...
    not really.
There has got to be one for back too.
p.s. Can the rule be changed so that it is any letter in the last word?
That would open the game up a little.
    Do tell.

"Kissed then cut the cake, The bride then tripped and broke the vase, The one you thought would spend the years, So perfectly placed below the mirror

Bit dodgy as the line doesn't realy start there but cudn't think of neithin else with k at the start.Nah keep it as last letter or its pretty much `choose a lyric of your choice`.

    (i) Remember when the days were long...

Again with the 'the lyric doesnt start there" issue.

But it DOES make the game better...
    Note taken dear ricosmirko.
