    Update:

After the initial joy of seeing the dialogue screen with 38 scrobbled tracks Last.fm is again not scrobbling. In the Controls/Tools/Ipod menu I have diagnostic unknown. When I go to the Help/Diagnostics menu I can force it to run the test and see my songs played but no scrobbling. Not sure where I go next with this?

  • Exactly the same as the last version

    Works then breaks every time

Hi, After I install the Beta version, it recognizes my iPod, scrobbles songs played in iTunes and scrobbles fine from my iPod if I play some songs and reconnect it in that same session.

But then any subsequent time I open the Last.FM client and then connect my iPod, it doesn't scrobble and even plays in iTunes don't scrobble anymore.

If I go into diagnostics and force an iPod scrobble, it finds all the iPod scrobbles, but then doesn't submit them.

Vista Home Premium (with multiple user accounts)
    Last.FM client 1.5.1.29527
    iTunes v.7.6.2.9
    iTunes plugin 3.0.1.0
    iPod 60GB 5th Gen

    Did we give up here?

I autoupdated to a newer version that is posted for download in the group. I stopped testing for a while because the client kept crashing on XP and I'm now running Vista Ultimate x64 and I haven't had any problems thus far. Maybe I'll just stick with the releases and not bother testing anymore.

ahm. apparantly we're not as up-to-date as we thought...

Kudos for the very new "listening on Foobar + AudioScrobbler client" thingy on user profiles.
Just clicked the 'client' bit and oh my lord - it seems as if the 1.5.1 beta build I had (1.5.1.29527) somehow never actually found updates -- and this group never had anything to imply there was one.
And yet, miraculously, the download page (not de beta) points to build 1.5.2.38918.

What can I say? I'm kinda stumped.
Just downloading the version to see what's up there, might update in the future :)

Frankly I can't even remember the exact release schedule.

But 1.5.2 is 1.5.1 with Japanese translations in it. So you don't need that at least.

I think we released 1.5.1, and I'm surprised you didn't get an upgrade. Chances are it's because the 1.5.1 you had turned into the final release.
