THIS EPIC CLASSIC BAND NEEDS MORE LOVE AND LISTENERS.

Argent are an English rock band founded in 1968 by keyboardist Rod Argent, formerly of The Zombies. So Rod Argent is keyboardist, but also vocalist. He sounds a bit like Freddy Mercury (R.I.P.) in my opinion. The other vocalist (and guitarist) is Russ Ballard. Bob Henrit plays drums, Jim Rodford bass and past members are John Verity and John Grimald.
Their only hit was "God Gave Rock and Roll To You" and they also made a cover of "Hold Your Head Up", but there is more than this!!!

Make sure you're a listener of Argent or interested to their music before joining this group.

    i checked out soundbites at amazon for the debut,ring of hands, in deep and circus. the latter not carzy about. but i think the first four seem amazing. kinda like what the zombies may have done if they stayed together? thanks!!! :)

    no not yet. i'm gonna check out if spotify has them. oddly, the only songs i know are hold your head up and god gave rock and roll to you by Kiss. which has different lyrics i'm told. i have heard liar by three dog night. not a big fan. no offense.

    I've only recently given my Argent CD's another spin, and I've always found the first album interesting. I had the third album on my iPod mix now, so it has grown on me, and it's so good. I'm going to now try Ring Of Hands, their second one! Thanks for the invite!
