Favorite Anime?

I'm not a big fan of anime but I watch it occasionly. Mainly Princess Mononoke and Cowboy Bebop, and whatever else is on Adult Swim. Anyways, I made this thread for all you anime aficionados to discuss your favorite anime or magna or whatever, lol.

Ah.. my favorite anime series is Evangelion, but I like a lotta other anime too... Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Love Hina, Escaflowne, etc.

Hm...I like a ton of different shows, but my favorites would Fruits Basket, Cowboy Bebop, Naruto, DNAngel, Gokusen, Fullmoon o Sagashite...oh hell, I like them all! lol

My favourite would be NGE, too although I just recently discovered Bleach and that could become my new favourite.

I have to recommend Kenshin OVA (published as Samurai X in the USA). It has exceptional score by Taku Iwasaki, the story is powerful and told well, and it's one of the only animes I've seen which feels real and has sort of "classy" and "adult" feel to it - it could as easily be a real series with real actors.

Another good one is RahXephon, which has been critisized as being an Evangelion rip-off. I don't think it's true even though there are many similarities. The reason why I enjoy it so much is because of the way characters are presented and because the way certain emotional storylines are plotted together.

One of the greatest series ever has to be Haibane Renmei. No action, no hilarious absurdities, only calm and serene atmospheres and mysteries.

Regarding movies:

Mamoru Oshii rules. Patlabor 2, GITS 1 and 2, Jin-Roh...

I really cant say i have any favourites, since ive seen hundreds of series.

Also, I mainly watch fansubs since we dont have any channels wich show anime here (and i hate dubs).

-Hellsing is probably the best anime I've seen, but it's too short. :(
-Naruto was good, but the the huge amount of filler stories recently is frustrating.
-Bleach is great. Enough said. :)
-One Piece is new to me and I'm beginning to like it.
-Hunter X Hunter is great too! I should watch the series again..
-Great Teacher Onizuka is fun. Too bad the anime series isn't very long.

hmm, hard one, there are so many ;O

Bleach, Naruto (before, i hate the fillers that are shown ATM), Love Hina, Mai-Hime, Mai-Otome, Elfen Lied, Full Metal Alchemist, Berserk, Gantz, Gun Grave, Samurai Champloo

i've watched alot more, just can't remember them all :P

the thing im watching now, must be Mai-Otome and Bleach, I'm a huge Bleach fan :)
