    Introduce your own music here!

This thread should be the place to introduce ambient music you have created. Maybe explain a bit about the style and provide links to some samples, etc.
I created this thread in order to make it more easier to find ambient music to one's tastes and also to clean up the forum a bit from shameless plugs. ;)

It's Dark and claustrophobic Ambient with melodies in it but they don't take the front end. It's more about the atmosphere and the rythm here. At a given moment an industrial metallic like slow and monotone beat kicks in.

About the style? I like to experiment with Dark Atmospheres a lot. I used to compose classical but my music is revolting more and more about the atmosphere and a lot less about melodies as I progress. I just create a wide variaty of music with Dark Atmospheres, often claustrophobic and mainly with entrancing melodies or else dramatic one's.

See my signature for some others works if you like this.

    EDIT:

Vate: I listened to the first one and I must say I really enjoyed it's orginallity and experimental value yet the happy kid like emoties where a little too much for me. I'm listeting to the second one now and the start sounds promising. I'll get back at that once it's finished.

EDIT2: The Second one I really liked. The Robotic effects where really nice although it could've been a thicker atmosphere the chord progressions are really nice. Just a shame the atmosphere isn't morphed a lot.

    Plateaux Of Mirrors

Very premature, very simplistic and minimal digital sounds. I like to think that i focus more on the ambience than on the music.

    My first track on Last.fm

    Reflection

"Reflection" is the first track from my Landscapes album (the rest of which is still currently being worked on). Quite a simplistic, slow building piece aimed to serve as a nice gentle introduction to the album..

Tracks 2 and 3 are very near to completion and will be posted soon :-)

  • Welcome Solitude

My first of what I hope to be a series of albums exploring into the whole "releasing music" thing. Never really done it before and wanted to give it a whirl.

All tracks are streamable and touch on the various styles that I want to delve into, including ambient and low level trip-hop...

I guess if you listen to it you'll know what I'm trying to get at ;) - 'tis streamable, and available from CDBaby (Well, will be in the next couple of days), for a mere $10

    Hi ambient lovers!

I am a longtime ambient lover myself, and since early 2005 I have been actively composing ambient and electronica and releasing it on Musictrade netlabel. My production ranges from deep, meditative ambient to field recording / found sound based experimental electronica. Since summer 2005 I have been co-operating actively with the Russian pianist Lena Selyanina, and this co-operation has produced already three ambient albums based on classical material (Bach, Debussy, Ravel).

Passage - an introduction to/of SinQ

I guess this message tells enough about my music:

    Message>>
Another debut on Monotonik, and honestly, somewhat of a spectacular one from Sinq, aka Sander van Oirschot, a Dutch electronic musician who's produced, in his album '', one of our favorite works so far this year - and we're lucky enough to be able to release it for free, too!

Completely licensed via Creative Commons, and even using multiple CC-licensed recordings as samples, SinQ's blend of , , and is and beautiful, with first track 'Who's Afraid Of Noises?' using haunting female vocals, samples from noted Dutch jazz pianist Jeroen van Vliet, and a loping sound to air things out in a rather wonderful way.

In general, it's either an hush or gorgeous blisslike , reminiscent of some of the best of the genre, with 'Be Brave' rinsing out the evocative, Overpass building up a kind of slow train , and 'Are You There?' leading up to a high. Things all end out with 'Epiloque', again , and really the epitome of what Monotonik has tried to provide for the last few years - the best headphone music you can find.

[Full credits for the album are available as a JPG cover piece alongside this release.]

I've got some chilled melodic electronica up here. My biggest influence is definitely Boards of Canada, however my music isnt any kind of (doomed) attempt to copy them, rather its intuitive music that tries to capture thoughts or feelings that are hard to describe any other way...
    Feedback is always very welcome!

    Hey there..!

I have been making electronic music for about 10 years, a fair bit of it being ambient and ambient-dub. Some of my recent music can be found at http://youarenotallboring.tk, but I'll list three of the more ambient-y tracks here.

First, http://s87361549.onlinehome.us/mp3/you are not all boring - 1 5 7 2 8.mp3, which is a longer, droning ambient track I recorded about a year ago based around some number station samples.

Second, http://s87361549.onlinehome.us/mp3/you are not all boring - a distant place.mp3. This is a more recent track, which veers abit more toward ambient-dub. Light drum sounds, a little melodic.

And third, http://s87361549.onlinehome.us/mp3/you are not all boring - shrouded.mp3.

Unfortunately, I've run out of description. So, that last track will remain a mystery- unless you download and listen for yourself.

    Hope whoever listens enjoys. :)
