  can ANYONE explain to me what the difference is between the 3 middle vertical points of the diagram? my guess is that absolutely no one is at the center, because there is nothing in between "a claim of knowledge" and "a claim of not knowing" (gnostic & agnostic) can anyone answer that for me? it's mindfucking the shit out of me.

  people need to redefine what god could be to be a true agnostic, we have so many cultural pre-conceived notions that make him into a man-like singular figure. god is simply a force beyond our knowledge that is responsible for our origins. we have no idea what it (god) looks like, it could be aliens or a father human race for all we know, we could share a lineage. i would fall on the northern tip of that diagram I suppose as I have no beliefs either way and accept that we, as a race, have no clue.

  I sometimes have these thoughts that I should just kill myself to find out the truth because I am tired of seeing us humans fighting over who is right. The friends and family I would leave behind prevents me from doing it luckily, I guess.

  When I was young - my mother chose the Bible to help me overcome a reading problem. Now that I am older and given every religion my full attention in seek of answers - I have only one conclusion..... Religion has caused nothing more than death, destruction, hate, war and separation of mankind. How can it be good? I rely on my instincts now, they serve me well and I do what I can for the living and Earth as a whole.

  Oh yeah and the same applies to hell really. I just find it skeptical that these two places are meant to be the very antithesis of each other (good and bad) and that there must be elements drawn from each other in there somewhere. Then again I can truly never know and I very much hold what I say to be my beliefs rather than something written in stone and not to be questioned (which is generally a weak way to argue a lot of things). Me eating humble pie over what I believe is hardly going to do me in any further.

  I was umming and aahing about joining this group for a little while as I'm not technically an agnostic. I'm more of an atheist than anything if I was to espouse my more personal views but that's just my belief given what I've seen in my life and a part of me reserves the right to be proved wrong. Even if I do entertain the idea of heaven then I don't really believe it to be as syrupy and pure white as the cliche pupports it to be but that just ties in with why I don't really see anything that magical in my life which ties in with what the grandoise idea of heaven is. /fragmented post

  We can't know, because we are only a minuscule amount of atoms, points of information in the multiverse. We don't hold all the information that exists because in that case we would be everything, and it wouldn't matter then if there is or isn't a divinity. If we knew, we would possibly go insane.
