Should APC ever return....

  • Should APC ever return....

If A Perfect Circle was to return and make another record as a band, what would you like to see?

Would you want the same lineup on Mer De Noms or Thirteenth Step? Maybe a mixture? Or maybe something totally different?...well, with Howerdel and Keenan of course.

As for the record, what would you be looking for when it comes to the sound of the record? Harder or melodic, themed or basic?

I guess I just want to know what other APC fans are looking for. I do hope they come back after Tool's done.

Same here! I really hope to see another APC album! But I'd rather hear it done with their last lineup. I agree that Maynard and Billy form most of the sound, but eMOTIVe's sound had some magical quality to it.

But regardless of the lineup, I guess, if there's another album by A Perfect Circle to be, I'm sure it would be at least as good as every other one out there. You could tell it by how Maynard evolves his art along with Tool and all his side-projects.

I just hope they do not cover a song ever again. Other than that, I would love for them to come back.

    agrees with that!

i wish the Mer De Noms line-up comes back though...that line-up was great...particularly coz Paz was in it...but Troy is also a great 90s rhythm guitarist...so i would like to see Mer De Noms's lineup to make a comeback...James Iha is impressive but too lonely...and Jeordie(sp?) White is cool but i still prefer Paz to be in the lineup...

Why not? Their covers were very interesting, I liked When The Leeve Breaks, Imagine and Let's Have A War very much!!

Yeah, Paz kicked ass! I love the trick with her hair she does on the clip Judith. Awesome!

The only cover I liked was The Nurse Who Loved Me.

APD of course should(I wished they return) return. And I don't care if it would be with covers, untill it would be wonderfull to hear, and something to fall in love with.

I couldn't stand eMOTIVe for the most part. Mer De Noms and Thirteenth Step were on par, and although quite different, both offered an equal amount of awesome songs. I prefer Paz on bass though, I want her back. I think if they came back, I'd like to hear a mix of both albums.

Melodic: Blue, Vanishing, 3 Libras, Orestes, Gravity.

Hard: Judith, The Outsider, Pet, Passive.

Mystical: Magdalena, Thomas, A Stranger, The Noose

I wish Maynard and Billy would realize that Tool isn't half the band that A Perfect Circle was, and get back together with the original band lineup.

True the only time I listen to that album is when I listen to passive wich I think is one of their best songs ever. Though it's not really their song or what you should call it they really did a great thing with it.

Despite their obvious differences, I can listen to Mer de Noms and Thirteenth Step back to back, since Over leads so perfectly into The Package. I would expect this other album to be different again, yet to keep this flow which the other two have (and naturally not another cover album, something of pure perfect circle-ness is needed). Whatever style though clearly they need to come back though ^^

Can't understand that people are disliking Emotive. That album is their best album. Songs like Let's Have a War, People Are People, Imagine and Annihilation is godlike. =)

  • I love Paz and would love to see her come back to APC if they return after Tool's done touring. I'm sure if she's not involved with touring, she'd contribute to the album's process =).

I want they to record another album. And it should be melodic and hard ;D with couple of quiet songs :P it should be a little different from other albums, but still have that apc sound. And I like their covers, they're really great. I don't know how can you don't like it :P:P

I agree with all of that except the second paragraph, haha. They are two separate worlds and should be regarded as such, I feel.

  • My dream was to see them on the stage. I hope they'll return, but... not with covers, like on eMotive. I really do not like it.

    ~size matters?
  • I didn't mind the covers on Emotive at all as it was all part of a theme (war, peace, etc) . The covers were good too and not like standard same-y covers.

If they ever did return I wouldn't mind who was in the band along with Maynard aslong as Josh Freese was still drumming.

Be cool to see something different or on another level from Thirteenth Step.

  • I don't care that much about the line-up because I like both of them, I just hope they will continue to make beautiful and unique music. In a recent interview Maynard said that he will hopefully be working with Billy on some new APC songs during the next year. I can't wait to hear what they will come up with this time :)

Of course A Perfect Circle should return; there's no debate there. As for who should be in the band line-up, I consider Paz a staple in the group. As long as they have Josh, Billy, Maynard and Paz, they can welcome anyone else who fits the role well. New is a good thing. I don't really expect Paz to join again, but I'd certainly love it.
