    Anyone accept random friend requests?

I only do it if they're female and if they respond to my shout I left. I always find it weird how people want to become your friend without even saying hello, rude much?

  • I accept some not others. Depends on what I think of the page.Especially if female ;)

I have. It's no big deal. I'll do similar things in the real world, as well.

Just the other day I saw my neighbor outside hitting a one hitter on his porch, so I went out with a loaded bowl of some really good shit and got him stoned. It was the first time I had ever talked to him. I also passed a joint out the car window to a complete stranger on 108th street. He hit it a couple of times and passed it back. Good times.

If they're very high or super with me yes. Otherwise no. Unless they're very hot. And female.

Think you got what it takes?

I will accept random requests, like, 99% of the time. Hell, out of my 200+ friends, I only sent requests to maybe a quarter of those people, if even that. Everyone else added me. I don't mind it, especially here on last.fm. I'm not a very talkative person and am pretty shy, so it's not a big deal if someone wants to add me without talking to me. I figure they have their reasons for doing it, whether it's because they like my charts or are friend collecting or promoting their band or whatever. Doesn't matter to me.

Hmm... I think maybe some people will add people as a way of sort of bookmarking them to keep track of their charts for new stuff to listen to. I would probably do that more often if people weren't so weird about random requests.

Kinda weird how people extend their personal space far beyond their actual personal space, isn't it? Like the guy who flips you off or says "What's your f**king problem!?!" just because you glanced over at him at the stop light. I don't get it.

  • Used to.
My friend list got too big and I stopped accepting them - I have removed everyone that randomly added me too.

I used to solely for artist acquisition, but now I only add if I actually know them.

Agreeing with the first point. But I don't care which gender they are.

I always find it weird how people want to become your friend without even saying hello, rude much?

I don't have that problem anymore, shoutbox is disabled, but I noticed that It's just better for me that way. If someone wants something from me, he / she can PM me.

  • I do when they have similar tastes in music, movies, art, academia etc. etc.

I usually message them beforehand too, try and strike up a conversation. Met some good last.fm buds by it.

  • I'll accept random requests sure. But I rarely get any and I rarely send a request to anyone.

  • I accept on the conditions that when I greet them, they reply back to me.

  • yeah, i don't care. i don't think i've talked to half of the people that have added me.

  • If they have interesting music taste i will add them... Doesn't matter if they r female of male.... Anyway i can't have nothing whit that hot young chick... Think that song for 80% ppl from internet pages is kraftwerk - computer love

No.. I don't do that even if we have a high compatibility.

I get a lot of requests every day and my list would be too huge by now. It kinda sucks when you lose track of your friend list too, IMO.

Usually I accept those I've talked to, even if it's just a hi or a small conversation.
It's polite to greet yourself if you're trying to befriend someone. :3

Same, although depending on my mood, I will sometimes friend someone and say something to them either through a shout or PM. If they don't respond to me within a week, they get removed.

i don't even pay attention to who the friend request is from, just accept it. what's the most harm that they could do on last.fm? i barely even censor friend requests on facebook ffs

I never accept friend requests from strangers. I like spying on what my real friends are listening to, and it'd be a pain to have to flip through pages of nobodies just to get to the people that actually interest you.
I must admit though, that while I don't accept random friend requests, I don't decline them either. I guess I like having a gallery of people that tried to befriend me. Kind of perverse, now that I think about it... :3

  • i usually request and accept people who have the same or similar taste as me. i don't really mind.

  • I really don't mind, anyone that requests me gets accepted.

  • I accept everyone, in the hopes they will browse my profile and find some great music to appreciate. I certainly have something for everyone in my library and even in my forum signature.

  • I do, even if I don't understand why if they are low compatibility and never speak to me. I don't usually send requests randomly myself, unless I really find the person interesting and good tastes. I don't chat too much on this site anyway. Though, it's a lot less awkward if the random person at least leaves a shout or something,

  • As long as we have the same tastes I do, but if we never say a word to each other I end up deleting them..

Fuck an apology, I'm not sorry for anything

    .
  • If I didn't I'd have no friends :I *cry*

I even get a few almost every day...and three today, how do those ppl even find me... o.O

Yeah, why is that? Do people feel better about themselves with loads of friends in their list? Or is it some sort of collecting addiction?
