Seriously, i've got nothing to say about the people who played before them. I knew i was not going to like them very much, and no surprise there.

But then, it was Rage Against the Machine time. I had been wanting to be at one of their concerts since high school second year: that was a whole lot of years ago, trust me. And there i was down in front of the stage, and they were on it. And they started. I got so nostalgic i almost started crying. The old times were back on me, but not really, and in a while i was again a jumping high schooler, but not really, because i knew most of what i thought at the time were just delusions. But still...

Thank you Zack, thank you Tom, thank you Tim, thank you Brad, for good times and memories.

I wouldn't have thought it possible any more, but still: Being able to see, feel and hear Rage after all these years... Sublime!
Also a chance to see how the French are on a festival, and there's quite some things to tell. Let's start with the early night:

We arrived in Paris after a 3.5H drive from Antwerp. Finding that Domaine Nationale de St Cloud wasn't easy, most people pointed us in constantly changing general directions, and the GPS wasn't much help either. Well, we found some "festival parking" signs after a while with some free spots, so we dropped the car and continued on foot.

We arrived during Mixmaster Mike's gig, he had quite the good start, but lost the public (and our) interest after a while. I guess pop gangsta rap tracks aren't really the liking of a Rage audience.

We moved somewhat to the front for Rage - but not too close, we had a girl with us who's quite small, wouldn't like seeing her ending up as doormat to the moshpit! That turned out to be in vain though.
