Senseless Questionare #2

Dam dam dammm, wieder ein Fragebogen der niemanden interessiert und ihn daher niemand lesen wird. Aaaaber egal, mir war halt langweilig...

Weil ich keine Lust hatte auf Englisch zu antworten, als ich den Fragebogen gemacht habe, hab ich´s einfach auf Deutsch gemacht >.> Vielleicht ändere ich das irgendwann nochmal…

- Bad Things, God Is a Lie, Haunt Me, My Demise, Skeletons

2. How did you get into #20 (Arch Enemy)?
- Uhm... I think I read through the list of Death Metal Bands at Wikipedia ^^° and heard a few songs of all Bands that sounded good to me.

3. Who is your favorite member in #1 (End of Green)?
- That´s easy. Definitely Michelle Darkness, the vocalist ^_^. Actually I like the singer of a band the most, but don´t know why. ^^°

4. Whats your favorite lyric bit by #29 (Atreyu)?
- Hmm, do not know a lot of their lyrics, but from the few I know I like this Part from No One Cares:

20 Years Louder Than Hell

Etwas spät - aber besser als nie - schreibe ich nun mal einen Bericht zum Wacken Open Air 2009. Er dient vor allem mir selbst, damit ich mich noch an die Zeit erinnere und nicht alles vergesse, wenn ich mittlerweile überhaupt noch alles vom Festival weiß.

-geplanter Ablauf-

(definitiv, eventuell)

Donnerstag: Schandmaul, Lacuna Coil
Freitag: Walls Of Jericho - oder Tristania, Dragonforce, Bring Me The Horizon, Hammerfall, Bullet For My Valentine, Epica - oder In Flames, Amon Amarth - oder ASP
Samstag: Heaven Shall Burn, In Extremo – oder Pain, Subway To Sally

Losgehen sollte es am Mittwoch um 16 Uhr. Nachdem am Morgen bereits alle Sachen zusammengesucht worden waren, eine Tasche, eine Kiste und eine Menge Flaschen Wasser am Nachmittag bereitstanden ging es ans Beladen des Autos. Die nächsten 4 Tage sollte ich mit Anna, einer Freundin…

Axel Rudi Pell live at Wacken - live recording

Along with the cool bullet-shaped flash drive I bought at Wacken this year came a special treat: a card with a code which allowed me to download the recording of one concert in MP3-format.
So I started thinking which one to take. My favourite live band Saxon? They messed up some of their songs, though. And I already have quite some live recordings, one even from Wacken (2001, I think). Running Wild had very bad luck with the horrible rain during their gig, so I didn't think it would sound too great. What about Airbourne? Already had their concert from 2008. Which was far not as big, though, but at least last year they didn't mess around with the PA!

First I considered Hammerfall, who definitely played an outstanding concert, the best of the festival. Eventually though, I decided for Axel Rudi Pell since I like their music slightly better than Hammerfall's. Their gig was equally awesome to Hammerfall's.
I'm just listening to it and yes, it does kick ass! The crowd wasn't too big.

After arriving at wacken in the night of Sunday – Monday before 4 o clock we heard there that the campings goes open at 8 oclock in the morning.
So put our cars in line and wait.
So when we get up the campsite at 09.30 we got a very good spot near the festival ground.
When finally all tents stood it was time for booze, not for all cause some were already passed out of the booze.
Finally time for the yearly camping party at Wacken.
And it were some crazy days till the first band begon at tuesrday at 4 o clock.
Between that I watched Onkel Tom at the wet stage wensday evening.
So time for the band report.

Tuesday:

SKYLINE should peform with some guest like Doro & Tom Angelripper.

Extra notes for Wednesday:
1- Both bands played in the tent (Headbangers Ballroom), Bon Scott did a great job covering AC/DC.
Onkel Tom Angelripper from Sodom got the german-speaking crowd up and roaring,
warm-up party was pretty good.

Kurzfristig sollte es sich noch zum Guten wenden. Denn nachdem die Tickets für das diesjährige 20. Jubiläum des weltweit größten Metal Festivals, dem Wacken Open Air, bereits im Dezember des letzten Jahres ausverkauft waren, sah es schlecht aus, den Geburtstag in diesem Rahmen zu begehen. Und dann kam drei Wochen vor dem Ereignis ein Anruf, ob ich denn noch Interesse hätte, nach Wacken zu fahren. Klar! Urlaub hatte ich schon Anfang des Jahres genommen, und so stand dem Vorhaben nix mehr im Weg.

Die Planung sah zunext noch eine Anreise mit der Bahn vor, da wir zu dritt waren, rückte aber auch ein Mietwagen auf einmal in die nähere Betrachtung. Und wegen des Komfortgewinns fiel die Wahl auch auf Selbigen. So konnten alle Einkäufe bequem vor der Reise erledigt werden und neben den Zelten auch noch ein Pavillon und Grillzeug mitkommen. Natürlich muss ein Auto für die Fahrt zum Wacken Open Air zünftig geschmückt werden. …

Thu 30 Jul – Wacken Open Air 2009

Así de a rápido porque no sé cuanto tardaría en contar y darle vueltas a todo lo que vi y viví en esos 3 días y medio, pero si se que fueron unos días bastante chingones, el festival es un monstruo, con un record de 70,000 asistentes para esta edición siempre había gente por todos lados y a pesar de eso la organización nunca presento fallos graves, al contrario todo fluía de la forma más natural que daba la impresión de que resulta muy fácil organizar algo de semejante magnitud, el ambiente es increíble, la forma en que se bebe esos días en la zona de camping y en la zona del festival es excesiva, de hecho todo es en exceso y el exceso bueno.

Wacken 2009

Het is voor de 20ste keer dat Wacken 2009 wordt georganiseerd. Een van de grootste metalfestivals van Europa bestaat 20 jaar. Voor mij en 70.000 anderen een van de vele goede redenen om een kaartje voor dit festival te kopen.

Een vriend van me Pieter heeft mij gevraagd mee te gaan met een groep waarin we gezamenlijk een groot aantal zaken regelen. Ik wist niet hoe snel ik ja moest zeggen. De groep breidde al snel uit naar 24 personen en we hadden alles geregeld.

We hadden voldoende auto's voor vervoer, en een gezamenlijke geldpot (iedereen legde geld in) waarvan we een aggregaat hebben gehuurd, voedsel, drank en andere benodigdheden hebben ingekocht. Dit werd allemaal door Pieter en Meloen geregeld, super.

Hoewel het echte festival pas op woensdagavond begint, zijn we al op maandag vertrokken naar de camping. Je betaalt dan wat extra voor de camping (5 euro per dag te vroeg) maar je kan dan eerder op de camping staan.

En zo vertrokken we op maandag om ongeveer half 12 naar Duitsland, Wacken. …
