DRAGNET - Cathi Unsworth, Travis Elborough & Syd Moore present a 1940’S noir crime and mystery tent featuring: award winning writers, Iain Sinclair, Lilian Pizzichini, Anna Whitwham & Ann Scanlon, poet Benedict Newbery, Plus Paul Willetts’ Sohemian Society Players, Sophie Loyer (gypsy-blues-jazz violinist) and 7 piece band The Cesarians

VILLAGE SCHOOL STAGE - this stage presents award-winning singer Beth Orton, Man Like Me, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Shlomo, Longy, The Hosts, Youth Club, FutureAges and C-side Crusaders. Compered by Darryl Easlea, DJ’s Mddle Age Spread and Ship Full of Bombs

GLOBAL VILLAGE – from Rajasthan ‘Kawa Circus’, from Poland ‘Gypsy Stars’, from the Netherlands, Bollywood dance producer ‘Balli Kalsi’, from Brazil ‘Brazil Arte’, from Togo ‘Ayigafrik Dance’, plus World Theatre from Pangaea and Irish Dancing from World Champion Natasha Ellis

PERFORM STAGE – Theatre, Dance and Music from the very best regional and emerging groups: Little Theatre Company, The Show Choir, Funky Voices, Wiggles, 4 & 20 Blackbirds, Masters Performing Arts College, Junior Masters, Revelation Theatre Company, Kayzar, McGahan Lees Irish Dance Academy, Danny Young Theatre School, Leigh Operatic & Dramatic Society, followed by gigs by Billy Wright (full band), Whom by Fire, and Asylums.

VILLAGE HALL - Mark Wynn, Lord Numb, Atomic Suplex, Velvet Morning, The Hillmisters, Cusack, Diamond Family Archive, Milk Boys, Kiss Me Quick, Polyvinyl Craftsmen and Ship Full of Bomb DJs

VILLAGE YOUTH STAGE – Compered by Sam Bird and James Worsfold, this stage presents the best in local young talent: Hope, Juke, Charlie Wallis, Walking Volcanoes, Katie Malco, Humbug, Kasakela, Feelin Reckless, Attic, Blue Echo, Kaylen Castle, Tom Bell & Zoe Bonham, Kirstie McEwen & Izzie Kerwin, Chris Copley and Luke Thomas, Longy, Natasha Branch, Maddy Lahna, Saskia Pritchard. Plus special guest Katie Malco from Scotland.

AERIAL VILLAGE – Tinted Bloom Productions back with more stunning aerial displays! Alana Bloom, Luke Chadwick Jones, Daisy Morris, Katie O'Malley, Jodie Hoffman. Plus street performances from Silly People

KINO TENT - Includes works by students from local colleges, short films by local artists, and Last Friday Shorts programme with international award-winning films. Sundown also showcase the very best in spoken word and poetry, with Ray Morgan, Jo Overfield, Cherry Scott, Sioni Richards, Olmo Lazarus, Sammy Crooks, Janet Gershlick. Two short performances by Silly People.

HUNT & DARTON CAFE (Chalkwell Hall) – (See attached bio) A fully functioning cafe that blends art with the everyday, it is a social and artistic hub where spontaneity and performance meet great food and drink. We are proud to satisfy appetites in more ways than one.

KIDS ACTIVITIES - Fantastic range of activities and workshops to entertain our youngest festival-goers: enjoy a trip round the Insect Circus Museum, wonder at Paka and his mechanical Horse and Dragon. Try out screen printing to revamp an old unloved t-shirt with ‘Inkulsive Prints’. Learn how to make carnival masks, with Southend Carnival. Join the ‘Digital Funfair’ – which combines digital technology, dance, music and film: “become a DJ in minutes with the beat Jigsaw” or “play classic video games from the saddle of the bicycle with the PacBike” Try out the new Cycle Southend Obstacle course! Enter the immersive space of the Wildlife Trust interactive tent! Get all the family together for Bramble Fm and join in with craziest roadshow! VISUAL ART - Artwork at Village Green includes six winners of the John Moores Painting Prize (China) - Zheng Haozhong, Liu Gang, Zhu Xiaocong, Zhong Luoxing, Liu Shaojun and Zhang Aicun; Heidi Wigmore's The Contortionists, and 7 Visual artists inhabit part of the park making works especially for the festival: Leila Al-Yosuf, Rory Biddulph, Egg Johnson, Jonathan Kipps, Frank Kent, Josh Langan and JeeHee Park.
