The fourth annual European Guided by Voices celebration day is happening. It is happening on Saturday April 12th, 2014. You are coming. I very much hope you are coming, anyway.

Euroheedfest III was ace. It sold out weeks in advance. Nearly 150 GBV songs were played live. Extremely good actor and extremely nice man Paddy Considine came and sang some songs with EuroHeedfest house band Band Of Pricks. You'll be pleased to hear he's coming back for more and will be performing a completely different set to last year, so expect the tickets to fly away rather quickly. They aren't on sale yet but will be soon.

I am also delighted to announce we have some newcomers to the EuroHeedfest clan venturing over from Dublin to play this year. These chaps are called Voided By Ponces. They rock. Here's what they say:

"Voided By Ponces are from Dublin and are Ireland’s leading GBV tribute act. Their members play in a whole bunch of other bands you’ve probably never heard of. They used to rehearse in a fruit wholesalers warehouse. They once played in a golf club in Limerick. They’ve got buckets. They don’t delude themselves that anyone gives a fuck who’s behind the drumkit. They have never played outside Ireland before. This is about to change".

There will be an acoustic section at the start featuring 10 minute sets of GBV classics from various wonderful people. At the moment this features Tim Parkes, Joe Innes, Laurie Hulme, Alex Wisgard, Emmett Cruddas, Pete Morton, Dan Sayer and Dan Ormsby.
