Nova Festival Of Arts & Music

Nova is a new kind of festival brought to you by two of The Big Chill’s co-creators - co-founder Katrina Larkin and creative producer Victoria Burns.

We’d like give you a little taster of what Nova is all about… Nova is small, intimate and independent, it is built on consideration and care for the smallest details and the biggest ideas.

Nova’s estate home is just a five minutes drive from Pulborough Station, West Sussex. Gates will open on Thursday 5th July at 2pm…

On arriving, a short stroll through a leafy copse will take you from the car park to the camping area - a peaceful undulating meadow nestling at the foot of the South Downs. Once you’ve pitched your tent on the Thursday, a brief walk up the farm path takes you to the stables. Here you can enjoy a tipple at our very own pub, The Nova Arms. You can spend the afternoon watching our mad medley of pub entertainment, and the evening at our campsite campfire sessions, or watching a film with the family at our outdoor cinema.

On Friday morning the Zen Garden will open, offering therapies and hot tubs to revive the body, awaken the mind and soothe the spirit. In this oasis you will find some of the UK’s finest immersive and interactive outdoor art. The gardens will take on a new dimension at night when they are bathed in artful illuminations and become the focus of a little mischief. Throughout the day and into late evening there will be foraging, campfire cooking sessions, bat walks and strange guided tours. Come prepared for unexpected adventures!

At noon on Friday our bubbling festival village will leap into life. The Valley Stage will offer you a line-up of brilliant, eclectic break-through new music alongside some of your favourites. The Super-Nova DJ Bar will serve specially created cocktails to keep your body movin’ to top class DJs spinning an array of dance floor styles. The Fearless Theatre is where you will find wildly creative and fantastically eccentric comedy, cabaret and theatre. You’ll get a chance to roll up your sleeves at The Public Art Studios and display your work in the People’s Gallery, or you could join the village choir! And when all that matters is a cup of tea, you can head to the Tea Dance for a cup of rosie lee and do a turn around the floor.

More music and curios will spring up among the trees and performers will take to the stage on our little lake. Yes, we even have a stage on a lake. Your children will be enchanted at The Land of The Bumbley Boo and The Wordsmithy will engage your mind and spark your imagination with lively debates, authors talks, readings and spoken word performance.

Our bars will be fairly priced, well stocked with local liquor, ciders, ales and champagne, as well as everything we need to make you generous cocktails. An array of hand picked stalls offering deliciously yummy food will be on hand for when you get hungry and there will be no shortage of lovely places to picnic.

Tickets are available from Ticketline on Tuesday 15 November. A limited number of weekend tickets will go on sale at the reduced rate of £80. Once these are sold, we will have some additional tickets at £100. All remaining weekend tickets thereafter will be:

Adults: £139
Students: £100
13-17 years: £60
Children under 12: Free
