Wave-Gotik-Treffen (ger. das Treffen means « the meeting ») is an annual world festival for « dark » music and arts in Leipzig, Germany.
More than 150 bands and artists from various backgrounds (gothic rock, ebm, industrial, noise, darkwave, neofolk, neoclassical, medieval, experimental, gothic metal, deathrock and punk being examples) play at several venues throughout the city over 4 days on Whitsuntide. The festival also features several fairs with medieval, gothic and cultural merchandise.
With 18,000 to 20,000 regular attendants, the WGT is one of the largest events of the Goth-, Cybergoth-, and Rivethead- subcultures worldwide.

I can understand your point. I am sure the experience itself is worth the price of admission. I've been to several WGW events, but yet a WGT. Well.....at least my hotel is booked.

Same discussion every year - they won't start announcing anything until a couple of weeks before the treffen. Their usual response: it's a treffen, not a music festival. Their main goal is the social aspect of the weekend, not which bands are playing when. Although I agree, it sometimes is annoying.

Same here. Before I spend $ 1600 on airfare, I'd like a committment on who is playing. So far, the line-up listed here is not all that impressive.

They need to release the lineup and ticket information. Several people who live abroad need this info before planning to go(myself included). It's already February and we have almost no info on the official website.

Ich entscheide eigentlich immer fest, wenn alle bestätigt sind und auch nichts mehr nachkommt. Dann gibt es meist so ein,zwei die ich auf jeden Fall sehen möchte und bei dem Rest ergibt es sich.

Man verpasst immer irgendwas. Deshalb plane ich die zu besuchenden Konzerte eigentlich auch immer erst spontan am Tag, an dem sie spielen.

Also Ordo zu verpassen wäre für mich am ärgerlichsten. Aber bis ende Mai ist ja noch genug Zeit, bis dahin kann sich noch einiges verändern...

Ain Soph, Gnomonclast und Luftwaffe werden ja wahrscheinlich zusammen spielen. Laut OEC sind die Konzerte Sonntag. Ordo sind auch für den Sonntag bestätigt, was knapp werden könnte, wenn die Daten so bleiben :/ am besten wäre es ja wenn die alle zusammen spielen :)
