SalsaShaker Yeah, nobody really knew who Ra Ra Riot was either (or at least they didn't show it). Kind of funny that The New Pornographers were drinking Corona at a brewery.

amandasause Sad and shocked nobody knew who The New Pornographers were... also sad that Neko wasn't there to make them sound 10x's better. I have no complaints about Death Cab. Yeah, they didn't play all of my favorite's but they have so many good songs that the perfect set would probably have taken 3 hours. I loved the outside venue and having a concert at a brewery is bad either.

CosmicGrrl well... i usually just don't say anything if i don't have anything positive to say, but, WOW - the show was overall so.... eh... uninspired and uninspiring. although it was lovely to be outside. :) this listing that i read after the show (which was written before the show lol) pretty much sums it up... Death Cab for Cutie, The New Pornographers, Ra Ra Riot [R.E.M. CLONES FOR THE TWITTER SET] If Wilco were on this bill and if I didn't know any better, I'd assume this was a "Save Paste Magazine" benefit show or something. In case you're not in the know, Death Cab make increasingly watered-down major label mope pop, while the New Pornographers make increasingly forgettable "minor"-label funny-ha-ho indie rock. Is putting it that way—that offhandedly mean—unfair? Much earlier in this decade, sure. But now it's just a total understatement. RAY CUMMINGS. -Willamette Week

SalsaShaker Really fun show, though the New Pornographers weren't that good.
