    Thu 26 Mar – Starsailor Live 2009

Well this was probably the best gig they've done. I've seen them live a few times and definately this was 1) the best venue they've been at. 2) most comprehensive review of the stuff they've done to date. 3) atmosphere was electric.

The last occasion I saw them was at Edinburgh, where the venue lacked atmosphere. Tuts is too small a venue for the likes of Starsailor but its acoustics and intimacy cannot be repeated anywhere else, (other than the original Cavern Club in Liverpool.)

The 2 support acts were so completely different to Starsailor it didn't really get you up for the boys.

However, as usual the anthems started off and everyone seemed to be having an absolute ball.

By the time Four to the Floor was played everyone was bouncing and singing.

They are well worth catching live, I managed to get tickets for Manchester which was the next stop on their tour just so as I could relive the night again.

Thu 26 Mar – Starsailor Live 2009 I didn't know I liked them as much as I do. I knew a few songs and had given the albums a good listen too but if anyone had ever asked me who my favourite bands are I probably wouldn't include Starsailor in the list

    Its strange that

anyway the gig was really good, I like the ABC as a venue although the sound quality isn't as good as other Glasgow venues you feel alot closer to the action, plus the gigs end a decent time as my last train is usually 2303 and I never get it if I'm at the SECC or Academy.

The setlist was well picked, they didn't focus too much on the new album, even though it is pretty decent and played all the favourites, and even through in a cover of Dancing Queen by Abba.

They also said they are playin T in the Park, as much as I enjoyed the gig I dunno if I'll go see them but it really depends whos on, if you haven't seen them though I would go and catch them at T if you can

    gig rating ***1/2
