Yo-Yo Ma, cello
PCA Great Performances proudly presents one of the most treasured, accomplished, and beloved artists in history.
Yo-Yo Ma’s multifaceted career is testament to his exploration of music as a means of communication, personal renewal, and artistic growth. Ma will perform selections from J.S. Bach’s Six Suites for Unaccompanied Cello. This will be Yo-Yo Ma’s eighth performance with PCA; he first performed in Portland during our 1982–83 season, when he was just twenty-seven.
