Great set, loved the fact that they played so many older tracks. New stuff sounded amazing. What a night.

Ab-so-lu-te-ly a-ma-zing! One of the best gigs I've seen. The new tracks are absolutely awsome. The first track of the encore was mind-blowing, and We Carry On, which ended the gig, was so huge and in your face! Particarly loved Machine Gun too. This song takes a completely new dimension live!

I concur with a few of the comments below... too many people talking. Who forks out 30quid or more for a ticket to listen to music then chats loudly throughout about mundane things? Almost but not quite as bad are the phone-camera-fiends.

i can understand that havin to listen to ppl talkin wud have been very annoyin but i think for the most part that wasnt the case at the front...silence was such a great opener and the new album worked absolutely brilliantly...that said it was really nice to hear some of the old favs off dummy, especially for a some1 whos never had the honour of seeing portishead before

i agree with the comments below - totally fantastic gig, slightly impaired by people talking. I stood next to two men who TALKED about music all night rather than LISTENING to the music actually being played right in front of them.

Other than a brilliant captivating performance Portishead (arrived just before they came on thankfully) the one thing that did piss me off during evening was groups of people around me towards the back constantly bloody talking and not seeming to care about the music when I was trying to enjoy Beth Gibbon's beautiful vocals. That was one aspect of gig I didn't like - some of the crowd.

From start to finish that was overwhelmingly amazing. FINALLY getting to see them play songs like Mysterons, Sour Times, Wandering Stars (loved fact it was slow and downbeat) and Glory Box as I felt like I was in my mid-teens once again when I first heard Dummy in the 90s. Machine Gun was pretty cool live as well.

hey, it turns out i'll be in london during this show! however, i'm not familiar with the best places to find tix for a sold out show in the UK. if anyone looking at this knows a good place to find an extra ticket, please drop me a message! i've wanted to see portishead for a very long time now!

I saw them at the Hammersmith gig and they were fantastic. The support is rubbish, unless you like random Hungarian folk music. In which case you'll really like it. Roll on Brixton!
