Yazoo at the Clyde Auditorium, Glasgow
The Clyde Auditorium is a fantastic venue. Warm acoustics, a cracking pa and excellent views from all over the hall.
If we were puzzled by the unusually high ticket price for this event (£45!) we got an indication of what at least some of it was spent on straight away - two enormous media screens to the rear of Alison and Vince.
The stage setup was clean with both artists having their own plinth at the front of the screen which they occupied for the whole gig apart from when Alison went to the front for In My Room and when both left the stage to be replaced by the revox machine for I Before E Except After C.
The recently re-released
Nobody's Diary opened proceedings to a raputous applause. Alison appeared genuinely delighted to be backed by Vince again and she reiterated that fact a number of times during the concert.
We were treated to all of Upstairs at Eric's and most of You and Me Both plus a couple of b-sides.
