FAILURE ANNOUNCE TREE OF STARS TOUR - NORTH AMERICAN TOUR KICKS OFF MAY 10 IN LOS ANGELES

Failure, the influential LA trio who recently reunited for their first shows in sixteen years, have announced the Tree of Stars North American 2014 Tour.

The tour kicks off with the band’s previously announced Cinquanta shows on May 10 and 11 in Los Angeles and will see shows throughout North America including Chicago, New York and Toronto.

When news of Failure’s eagerly-hoped for reunion was confirmed, Ken Andrews spoke with Spin about his, Greg Edwards and Kellii Scott’s decision to reunite, explaining that it came as the result of rekindled friendships (http://www.spin.com/articles/failure-reunion- show-fantastic-planet/) and the public’s deepening appreciation for the music the band created, particularly Fantastic Planet. Decibel Magazine’s current issue features a 7-page feature on the recording and reaction to the 17-track album saying, “this is one of those albums that’s so perfect, the band almost had to implode after its release.” (http://store.decibelmagazine.com/collections/back- issues/products/may-2014-115).

Failure’s first outing of the new millennium was a sold out February show at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. The mesmerizing performance, both captivating in an aural and visual sense, was described by The Orange County Register as “an almost spiritual experience,” summarizing the special evening as “no rust, no fluff, just one influential rock favorite after another.” The band recently joined Tool, a partnership with an extensive history, on their March tour.
