With that in mind, we thought it was time we threw some equally amazing parties to celebrate this momentous occasion. So, in the last week of February we will be hosting SIX FREE parties in Leeds, Bristol, London, Manchester, Nottingham and Brighton.
Headlining the London event are Aussie punks Bleeding Knees Club. The duo from the Gold Coast in Queensland spent much of last summer trailblazing across the UK, supporting – and generally blowing away - the likes of Black Lips, Cerebral Ballzy, Toro Y Moi and Blood Orange. Mixing their obvious garage-punk roots with the irrepressible pop tendencies of youth, Bleeding Knees Club are a breath of fresh air in an anodyne landscape of guitar acts.
Support on the night comes from WhoMadeWho, delectable Danish dance-pop with a penchant for latex in their live shows; plus VICE favourites Cymbals who bring with them their dance-punk sensibility that sits somewhere between Yo La Tengo and New Order.
