OZRIC TENTACLES

Ozric Tentacles are legends of the UK underground. Formed in 1984, the band have released well over 20 albums and sold over a million records worldwide despite never having major label backing. Famous for their live performances, long fronted by Champignon, who dances around the stage in a trance-like manner and occasionally plays the flute.

Over the years Ozrics have toured extensively both at home and abroad, performing regularly throughout Europe, Asia, North America, and South America. They continue to create genre-free music with no boundaries in sight, it means that their aim and goals are enthusiastically raised as they strive to take each track to a new level, and each album must grow substantially for the band to be satisfied.

CHAMPIGNON

Psychedelic music veteran Jon Egan has traversed a myriad of cultures in his 25+ years on the road. In addition to his former mainstay of over 15 years playing with UK festival favourites, Ozric Tentacles, Egan has also performed with nearly countless other acts and musicians from ambient Nodens Ictus, to the pagan-punk roller coaster of The Oroonies, to the classic space rock n’ roll of Nick Turner. His performances have spanned the globe,rom England’s legendary festivals such as Stonehenge, and Glastonbury, to the jungles of South America.

Joined by percussionist Paul Hankin, who also performed with the Ozrics for six years, the music Egan creates in his recent project Champignon, combines these multi-ethnic elements collected on his travels in an earthy manner, more traditionally folk orientated than his previous space rock excursions. Jon’s unique and ethereal vocals, combined with Egan playing an unmatched selection of ethnic winds instruments such as, ney, kaval, duduk, and bansuri, make for a breathtaking live spectacle.

The Tantrics are a five piece band from the West Midlands area. Encapsulating the music of 1970s and 80s psychedelic prog rock bands such as Hawkwind and Ozric Tentacles, The Tantrics with their own ambient take on psychedelia make music to blow your mind.
