Albert Hammond is a universal name in pop music, with his songs having generated 360 million sales worldwide. Throughout his extensive five-decade career, Albert Hammond has authored unforgettable pieces like - It Never Rains in Southern California - Little Arrows - The Air That I Breathe - When I Need You – One Moment in Time ( 1998 Olympic Games theme song) – I Don´t Wanna Live Without Your Love - Nothing´s Gonna Stop Us Now (theme to the film Mannequin) - Don´t You Love Me Anymore – Don´t Turn Around – 99 Miles From L.A .– To All the Girls I´ve Loved Before, among many others.

An impressive list of artists have performed his songs, including Willie Nelson, The Hollies, Chicago, Cliff Richard, Whitney Houston, Roy Orbison, Miguel Bosé, Camilo Sesto, José Feliciano, Celine Dion, Julio Iglesias, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, Diana Ross, Johnny Cash, KD Lang, Josh Groban, and Ziggy Marley. His successes have made him “A Legend of Music”, leading to his induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, alongside MCARTNEY, COLE PORTER , BURT BACHARACH , HAL DAVID, and RODGERS Y HART.

Awarded with the OBE by Queen Elisabeth II, Albert has also been recognized by some of the most important artistic organizations around the world. He is an EMMY award winner, and OSCAR, GOLDEN GLOBE, and GRAMMY nominee. He’s had over 35 songs in the Top Ten US domestic song charts, one of very few artists to earn such an achievement.

His son, Albert Hammond, Jr, is a successful solo musician and also a member of The Strokes.
