Adams earned a B.A. and Masters Degree in composition and eventually wound up in Los Angeles where he worked as a freelance film and TV composer. In 2000, Adams co-founded the duo Eastmountainsouth, and in 2002 they were signed by Robbie Robertson (of The Band) to DreamWorks Records.

Carl Anderson is an American singer-songwriter hailing from Charlottesville, VA. His soulful, raw sound transgresses many musical genres. His EP, « Twenty- Something Blues » conveys his innate songwriting talent with a tone wistful longing that sounds too deeply steeped in experience to have been written by the twenty-two year old artist. Undoubtedly heart wrenching tunes such as « You Were Crying, » will appeal to fans of Mumford and Sons, Ray Lamontagne, and City & Colour. Anderson’s music is, however, distinctly American. Flavors of bluegrass, country, and folk music permeate his sound, honed from his past stints playing with Carleigh Nesbit and the Roosevelts. Carl has also supported the Infamous Stringdusters and Yarn, artists well known among the bluegrass circuit, and played the main stage at « The Festy Experience » music festival in October.

In 2009 he went to Nashville and scored a publishing deal with Ash Street Music. He quit his job as a waiter and threw around the idea of moving to Nashville to write songs full time. While his time in Nashville was in many ways rewarding, he decided that living in Tennessee and writing for the radio inevitably wasn’t going to make him truly happy. After releasing his first solo EP « Twenty-Something Blues » (recorded at Little Rhodie Productions in Crozet, VA) he decided it was time for a full-length record. The recording of « Wolftown » at White Star Sound in Louisa, VA was a culmination of creative and artistic minds working as a single-minded entity, and, together with, Dave Stipe (Little Rhodie Productions), Stewart Myers (engineer and former bass player of Agents of good Roots), Chris Keup (White Star Sound) and several of Charlottesville’s best musicians, Carl has created his « dream » record.
