FREE ACOUSTIC EVENING

We’re putting on an evening of fine acoustic music with some of York’s finest coming to perform.

Mantra will be playing a stripped down set, and there will also be performances from Marbled and Alice Ostapjuk.

Groovy, riff-laden, beer-swilling, pot-smoking, foot-stomping music that will make you nod your head and say « Hell yeah! That’s some badass shit! »


Having just recorded the E.P ‘Over the Edge’ Mantra have decided to beef up the live sound and take on a second guitarist. With more crushing bottom end, wailing harmony solos and groove laiden riffs, Mantra will be touring throughout 2012

Marbled, acoustic songwriter from the North Eastern parts of England. High slung guitar like a chip on the shoulder, throttling out the last breath of each couplet lyric like it might be the last. Punching all the loose notes into a tight melody and performing songs of style ranging from flawed folk to cordoned in pop riot scenes, sightseeing eclectic electro experimenting and punctuated with a decade derailing diaphragm.

Alices songs concern anything from loss to love, and fairies to friends. Her comical views of such matters are expressed with a heart warming innocence and honesty that all can relate to.
