For fans of the Youngblood and Dirty Dozen brass band sound and with a live thang goin’ on that’s been scorching festival stages and club bandstands worldwide over the past five years, nine Israeli wizards of funk have been conjuring flash-storms of horn stabs, cuts ‘n’ scratches, electronic fx and heavy HEAVY funk/Middle eastern grooves for a decade.

‘Thang / Powder’ is the latest in an impressive string of releases which include the Freestyle Records LPs ‘Buzzin’ About’ and ‘Kings’- the latter featuring collaborations with funk trombone pioneer Fred Wesley and world music guru Shlomo Bar.
