Holy Other: yet another mysterious electronic artist, made invisible by dark hoodie and mask. His music was not bad, but as with most of these acts: I tend to get bored quite soon. His visuals were quite uninteresting, which made the overall feeling drop to: so-so.
oOoOO were with two, one of which was a singer. I had heard an ep before, which always improves my impression of a concert. The visuals now where a lot better, with scenes taken from old movies and footage from a German subway, Berlin probably. Too bad, there wasn't enough material for the whole show, so the tape started again after some time.
Balam Acab made with WANDER/WONDER one of my favourite albums of 2011. Alas he couldn't keep up the magic alive in his show. On the album the vocal samples are filtered to the back of the mix, whereas here they were sung live by a female singer, and to a lesser extent by himself. This made it clear that the harmonies are not all that memorable. …
