You know what, I can admit when i'm in the wrong. I went in with a negative attitude towards both Trivium and Veil Of Maya and had no interest in the opening group Kyng. What happened? Well, In Flames was definately the best band there, but there's no denying the fact that Trivium was actually quite good. I was considerably impressed. Veil Of Maya? Still not a fan, but they could have been a lot worse. They have some interesting ideas and some cool elements, but it's still not my thing. Kyng? They'de be good if they slowed down and went for a groovier sound, as the vocalist has a style very much akin to the BMF-era of Soundgarden and trying to pound along as fast as they were just buries any sort of groove or catchiness they could obtain if they were to make the songs a little slower and allow the riffs and the fills to breathe. All in all, a pretty good show.

Trivium > In Flames. I respect In Flames for what they do, yes, they have been around longer, but Trivium should headline as they have a bigger fan base.

I've been excited to see that Trivium, although billed a co-headliner, is getting far less time than In Flames. Yay for less time having to deal with shitty bands! Infact, all 3 openers should just stay home, give In Flames a 3 hour set and viola... people will actually have a good time.
