This concert was AWESOME. I missed The Contortionist (*tear* - they're pretty sick) but The Ocean played a killer set. Their mix was incredibly clear. Whoever was mixing them did a great job. Their music is heavy as fuck, but slow and doomy. I'm a big fan. Job For A Cowboy played fairly well. They were all drinking beers (and a bottle of wine) on stage, but played together for the most part. I'm not a huge fan, but they played pretty well. BTBAM came on and the pit went crazy. I usually try to be a few rows in front of the circle so I don't die (I'm a little skinny guy), but I didn't manage it this time, and I was in the thick of it for the entire show. BTBAM opened with Specular Reflection, and continued through the rest of their new EP. The new stuff is really heavy and quite good. Then they played Sun of Nothing and Ants of the Sky. Then a piece of Swim to the Moon, followed by Fossil Genera: A Feed From Cloud Mountain to close their set. …
