    Woo!

A gig in Edinburgh and only about 5 minutes from my flat, so get to get back nice and early :-) and no 1 hour bus journey home.

And Potterow still had pints at term time prices, so pound a pint.... sweet.

Arrived a little late, missed most of the first support act, some guy playing acoustic guitar, didn't pay much attention to him, so can't really comment, one may feel given advances in the mighty DS that the acoustic guitar may be done with, we can but wait and see, personally I can't wait for my first gig where I see someone playing a DS, surely whole DS bands should be made, that'd be nice.

Main support from Aereogramme, who are apparently just about to call it a day, which is a shame, they're a good band, remind sort of a softer version of Isis, and sometimes sound Sparowesish, both of which can only be a good thing. Not listened to much of them before, may do so now, it's not the first time I've become interested in a band just as they end, probably won't be the last time either.
  • Aereogramme are splitting.

"It is with heavy hearts that we tell you all that Aereogramme have decided to split up. Reasons are multiple and complex. It is however fair to say that the never ending financial struggle coupled with an almost superhuman ability to dodge the zeitgeist have taken their toll, ensuring that we just don't have any fight left in us.
We are immensely proud of the four albums** that we made over the past seven years. We hope that they continue to grow in your hearts.
We plan to honor and celebrate the beautiful friendships we have made along the way with these final shows over the summer.
