I can't make up my mind what to think about the show, even though by now several days have passed. I was very sceptical to begin with. I guess the safest statement (with thanks to Fegmaniax) is to say that it wasn't as bad as I had feared but also not as good as I had hoped.
On the plus side, to experience the LTU-Arena was in itself an event, at least for me. It's a sports arena with a retractable roof that apparently is always closed for shows, regardless of the weather conditions. So it felt more like an indoor venue, only with a capacity of 50,000! I'm not really too fond of such crowds, but it still felt roomy even in the standing room only section. Why anyone who would want to sit during such a show is beyond me, by the way. As it turned out the acoustics were pretty sucky, but the experience in itself was impressive.
Anyway, opening were The Charlatans. I thought they weren't half-bad…
