Mysteriously, a collection of stalls from markets throughout Europe found themselves transported to a town in the west of Scotland today. There was a cheese stall, which was lucky, because I was looking for cheese.
I got some Brie, and a big lump of Swiss mountain cheese, similar to the stuff Ritchie provided for the ATP festivities. I have eaten some of both, but have now run out of oatcakes, crackers or other biscuits suitable for accompanying cheese.
I suppose, really, I should mention a bit more about ATP, what with this being a public record and all. It was great.
It was good fun watching Warren Ellis doing the lean-back-fiddle-like-mad-karate-kick thing on numerous occasions throughout the weekend, and his "Ladies and Gentlemen, this song is about..." announcements were great. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the Dirty Three sets. Also great were Grinderman, Low, Papa M and, oooooh, too many to mention.
