The Beach @ Governors Island

We encourage everyone to come early and enjoy the beach. Governors Island ferries will run from the Battery Maritime Building until 5:30PM. If you are on the island early, please make sure to get yourself to the Beach venue by 3:30PM, at which time concert wristbands will be distributed.


THERE WILL BE NO BOATS TO THE CONCERT DEPARTING FROM THE BATTERY MARITIME BUILDING AFTER 5:30PM.

Doors open at 10:00AM. Show time is 4:00PM.

Wristbands will be distributed at the Beach @ Governors Island on a first-come, first-serve basis, starting after 3:30PM.

    Amazing show. My friends and I were on the first ferry at 10 in the morning and got one of the picnic tables. Waking up early was totally worth it when we had a perfect view and could dance on top of the table together.

    this sold out really early, the line was hundreds of meters long at 2:30 yet my friend who got off the boat on govenors at the same time said it was sold out, gutted to all those that lined up for hours for nothing (including my friend).

    the island is going to be so crowded tomorrow that the beach will reach capacity quickly. to make sure that people there specifically for the show get preference over those who just wander in, they are distributing wrist bands. tomorrow is a hot day and the 4th of july. get on line for a wrist band early, it will fill up quickly.

    You can take the ferries out to Governors Island starting at 10. I'm assuming they start handing out wristbands around noon.
