Such an overwhelming experience! There's always this kind of a feeling when seeing your heroes for the very 1st time - and, yes, this was my 1st ever Lenny gig. Missed him 2 yrs ago here...
Brought the family along, this was just too good an oppornity to showcase a legend to the kids. Loved the atmosphere, the appreciation was just there for all to feel - this must be the case where ever he goes. Lenny's in good shape - he danced and jumped a few times with a surprising fluency. Loved his gentleman gestures, humour, the whole presence. The way he introduced the band and gave them spotlight every now and again. Humble but way up high in the tower of song. And of course it helps to have an ace band, some virtuoso talent made the overall sound kind of full-bodied - the multi instrumentalist fella mastered a whole bunch of different stuff, some of which I hadn't even seen before. And the Catalan guitar maestro was something else, too.
