The opening band, whose name I finally caught after the Antlers went on, were wonderfully sunny and poppy, a good contrast to what was in store later that night. After a few generator problems, the Dinosaur Feathers got through their set like champs.
The main event was wonderful. The hot summer day became a cool breezy night as the Antlers took the stage. They kicked things off with Prologue/Kettering much like they do off of Hospice. Their live sound is as heartbreakingly beautiful as they do on the album, but at the same time distinct. Their drummer really shines live and he beats out intricate rhythms that were clearly audible. Their two-man harmonies are wonderfully haunting, each falsetto seemingly floating off into the cool summer night.
