The Jezus Lizard is weer bij elkaar in originele bezetting: David Yow, Duane Denison, David Wm. Sims en Mac McNeilly. De alternatieve noise-rockers uit Chigago doen deze zomer een uitgebreide wereldtournee. Bovendien worden de eerste vier albums van the Jezus Lizard na de zomer in een door Bob Weston en Steve Albini geremasterde versie heruitgebracht. Het betreft de albums ‘Head’, ‘Goat’, ‘Liar’ en ‘Down’ die allemaal zowel op CD, MP3 als vinyl verkrijgbaar zullen zijn. De band, opgericht in 1987, is altijd een cultfenomeen geweest vanwege de wilde voorman David Yow en is live op zijn best met retestrakke gitaarrifs en een keihard beukende ritmesectie. Kurt Cobain was groot fan van deze noise-punk-rockers pur sang.

bikkiebak Wat een heerlijkheid was dat.. Die hoop ik snel nog een keer te zien.

joeyhandsome Hmm... wat zie je er toch raar uit als je staat te headbangen bij zo'n concert. Toch grappig het zo weer terug te zien, al denk ik dat de cameraman nog wel wat lessen in het filmen kan gebruiken, maar het geluid is niet eens zo slecht. Ach ja, het was gewoon een vette show.

relicdelic Heb je nog zien overkomen LongGoneDay. Op de terugweg belande je nog op m'n hoofd... :-D Maar The Jesus Lizard waren retestrak en beukten er keihard op los, zelfs toen de bass-amp het begaf. Hopelijk is dit niet het einde.
