CHAZ
Multitalented, charismatic, bright and uniquely gifted are but a few adjectives that describe Chaz. Exposed to a plethora of musical experiences as a young child, Chaz made his singing debut at age two by singing duets with his mother (professional singer/songwriter Babbie Mason). Recording by age four, his career was off and running. And ever since then, the stage and the studio have been home for this dynamic young singer, songwriter, arranger, and producer. At the age of six, Chaz began taking piano lessons which led to a deep appreciation for classical composers such as Beethoven and Chopin. This not only broadened his ability as a pianist, but also honed his skills in theory and eartraining. At the age of twelve, he started playing clarinet. Approaching high school he began arranging and composing for piano, chamber choir, and wind instruments. Now twenty-three, he has added the guitar the his list of musical accomplishments. If you ever see him perform, you will see a guitar strapped to his shoulder or his keyboard stretched out in front of him like a well-traveled road.
‘Really, my main goal is to play as many instruments as possible. I want to be left alone in the studio being able to produce live tracks with the least amount of instrumental help necessary.’
Above all, Chaz wants to bring music to the world that is totally clean. ‘I want to be the one artist that doesnt sing about sex or money or fame, and what not. I want to be the artist that the whole family can listen to and enjoy. Whether you are ten years old or eighty years old, you will laugh, cry or just sit back and chill to my music.’
When it all comes down to it, Chaz is the total package: singer, songwriter, producer, and performer. To use one word, he is an artist. An artist that will make a difference. An artist that will leave a legacy. An artist that will take music to its next level. An artist that the world will embrace as one of their own.
Kayenne
As you put the cd in the cd player, press play, and ease back in your chair. You are ready to listen to the sounds of a bayou baby. When listening to Kayenne’s sound, you can expect to hear a mixture of alternative, soul, and hip-hop. She was born in Baton Rouge Louisiana, and developed musical interests ranging from several artists such as Bjork, Radiohead, Sade, and Terrence Trent D’arby, to The Winans, Betty Wright, Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Bobby Womack, Aretha Franklin, , Portishead,…and the list goes on.
