It was time for Bruce to bring the wrecking ball and it came in the form of Born in the USA. Not my favorite album, but surely a fun one to rock to on a nice fall evening. Badlands/Spirit of the Night were nice to hear right in front of the set. Darlington County/Working on the Highway/Downbound Train were certainly highlights of Born. The band really knocked these ones out and did a fantastic job. Surprisingly, Bruce didn't take an encore, and the show sort of just ended after Jersey Girl. It was great to get this Tom Waits ballad, but many seemed disappointed with the show's abrupt ending. Perhaps the band saw the rain coming and figured it would be best to roll it in...either way...the energy in the stadium was unmatched from any other time I have seen the Boss play the Meadowlands. It was a historic night...now we wait for Bruce's string of shows for "opening Giant's stadium."
