So Amorphis opened for Children of Bodom tonight.
Children of Bodom was as cheesy and boring as it gets -- kinda expected. No wonder why they're commonly known as "Children of Boredom". ;)
Amorphis played a short set, as I assumed -- no more than 1 hour --, but it was a great exhibition mixing classic songs from their doom metal period (highlights:
Tomi Joutsen was amazing. In fact, one of the best singers I've ever heard live -- both clean and gutural/harsh vocals --, Alexi Laiho should take some lessons with him.
The rest of the band was pretty tight as well and pulled off a solid concert. As Nurdangniriel said, they were the ones who should've headlined the night.
