Unconventional electronic producer DAEDELUS returns to the Empty Bottle after wowing us at last year’s Adventures in Modern Music festival. Long a favorite of ours, and always dressed to the nines, he pieces together cozy, electric beats effortlessly incorporating eclectic samples culled from scratchy LPs of breathy jazz and orchestral film scores from the 40s and 50s that he pulls out of what looks like a Lights Out game board that he calls ‘The Box’ live. Last year’s Love To Make Music To was his love letter to rave culture that LA Weekly called « upbeat, positive, romantic, and fulla life ». Local DJs CHRIS WIDMAN and COLIN HARRIS collaborate to create « dancefloor oddities and headphone bangers » as QUADRATIC and open here.
